Our Services

Bridge to Bravery was founded with the goal to expand the reach of Child Life Services beyond hospital walls and into the heart of our East Tennessee community.

We are passionate about meeting children where they are, and creating safe spaces
for emotional growth and healing. Through therapeutic play, education,
and emotional support, we help children develop lifelong coping
skills that foster confidence, connection, and hope.

IN HOME

Our Certified Child Life Specialists offer in-home and virtual services designed to support children’s emotional well-being through every stage of medical or developmental experiences. We specialize in therapeutic play, medical procedure preparation, coping skills development, and trauma prevention—all delivered in the comfort and familiarity of your home.

Whether your child is facing a new diagnosis, upcoming surgery, routine medical visits, or just needs extra support adjusting to life’s changes, our child-focused approach helps reduce fear, increase understanding, and build resilience through hands-on, play-based interventions tailored to each child’s age and needs.

IN OFFICE

Our private practice offers in-office Child Life services to local physicians, pediatricians, dentists, and specialty clinics. Certified Child Life Specialists are available on-site to provide developmentally appropriate preparation, medical play, coping support, distraction, and emotional guidance to help reduce fear and anxiety in young patients.

We work collaboratively with your healthcare team to enhance the patient experience, improve procedural outcomes, and support families during challenging visits. Our services are available on a flexible basis—whether you
need consistent weekly support or occasional coverage for specific procedures
or high-volume days.

Partner with us to bring expert psychosocial care and emotional safety
to your practice.

COMMUNITY
EVENTS

Our Certified Child Life Specialists partner with corporations and nonprofit organizations to provide child-centered support at community events, outreach programs, and awareness campaigns. We offer therapeutic play stations, emotional support, and developmentally appropriate activities to help children feel safe, included, and engaged—especially during events that involve sensitive topics, health education, or emotional content. Whether you’re hosting a family day, grief event, health fair, support group, or advocacy campaign, our team can enhance your mission by supporting the emotional well-being of children and families.

SCHOOL VISITS

Our Certified Child Life Specialists partner with public and private schools to support students’ emotional health and resilience through in-school services. We provide customized programming including classroom teddy bear clinics, peer and grief support groups, chronic illness education, and reintegration plans for students transitioning back to school after hospitalization or medical treatment.

By using therapeutic play, developmentally appropriate education, and emotional support, we help students better understand medical experiences, cope with illness, and navigate life’s challenges in a safe, supportive environment. Services can be provided on a one-time or ongoing basis and tailored to the unique needs of your school community.

As our understanding of child life services evolves, we recognize the importance of extending support beyond the traditional hospital setting. By bringing these services into homes, schools, and medical offices, we can address the emotional and psychological needs of children where they are.

Partnering with local nonprofits further strengthens our ability to provide comprehensive care, ensuring each child receives the support they need in a familiar environment. This holistic approach not only fosters resilience but also promotes overall well-being, empowering children
and families through life’s ups and downs.
